Statement Session was arguably the top basketball invite only event Louisiana has ever had. 30 of the top players from various parts of Louisiana was in attendance. This article we are featuring stand out wings, class of 2021 and 2022.

2021 Derrick Tezeno 6’5 (North Central High School): The 2020 Statement Session Scoring title was earned by the athletic wing. He lead all scorers throughout the event, he also lead his team in rebounding and featured several highlight finishes. After his performance, his recruitment is expected to take a major leap.

2021 Jonquarius McGhee 6’2 (Opelousas High School): The Nicholls State commit had an outstanding performance, he did it all for his team. Scoring, rebounding, passing, defense and dunking in traffic. Just a few months ago he was considered a hidden gem, his stock has definitely went up.

2021 Jamond Vincent 6’3 (L.B Landry): The New Orleans commit did what he do best, athletic finishes and big shots. His team got down early and he found a way to make some big baskets. This kid is a proven winner and it showed at the Statement Session.

2021 Da’Tayvius Gabriel 6’5 (St. Martinville High School): The long and athletic wing did it all on the offensive and defensive end. He scores and rebounds was well, on the other end, he guards and plays very hard. He was a match-up problem the entire event and used his length well against defenders.

2021 Jaden Shelvin 6’3 (St. Thomas More): This kid was a late add and showed that he deserved to be at the event. The high flying guard scored and put amazing energy on the floor. He shot the ball well, finished strong and made plays.
