This past weekend, HoopFests Tour Recruiting had the special opportunity to travel down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to host our Frosh/Soph Academy. Between the size, talent, competition and athleticism: Louisiana young studs and future of hoops are in good hands. The amount of talent in Louisiana is continuing to grow, this event has gotten the attention of several top young prospects. Besides a great day of hoops, Legendary LSU Coach Dale Brown was a guest speaker and passed knowledge to 150 players. Here’s a few standouts that caught the attention of many and received offers from this first class event.

Trey’Dez Green (’24) 6’7 Forward – East Feliciana High School (LA)

Arguably the top prospect in Louisiana for 2024 has great size and athleticism. Green has dominated in the paint and controlled the tempo of every game of the event. LSU and Houston offered this week with several other expected to offer soon.

Jeremiah Evans (24′) 6’9 Forward (Southwood High School, LA)

Super Long and athletic prospect who finished well at the rim and shoot the 3 with confidence. Evans has wowed everyone here at the Academy with his Skillset. After a strong showing, we’re sure several division 1’s schools will be in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Jordan Moore  (24′) 6’3 Guard (Shaun Dumas Academy, LA)

Strong Athletic Guard who loves to play in transition and play above the rim. Moore’s athleticism has opened a lot of eyes today at the Academy. He made tough plays in traffic and finished with several highlight dunks.

Cornelious Brown (24′) 5’10 Point Guard – John F Kennedy High School (LA)

Crafty point guard that loves to touch the paint and make plays for himself plus teammates. Brown also showed the ability to stretch the defense from 3 with a very good touch on his jump shot. Very tough on the defensive end and loves to compete.

Wayne Randall (24′) 6’5 Forward (New Iberia High School, LA)

Skilled forward with a high IQ basketball feel. Randall has a knack at making the right play each trip down floor, with good size he does multiple things, defends, good decisions and creates opportunities.

Keith Jones Jr.  (24′) 6’3 Guard (Edna Karr High School, LA)

Crafty, athletic and tough guard who score in bunches. He scored from all over the court, very good slasher who can finish well in traffic. Jones has a good handle, shot making ability and gets into transition quickly and make good decisions in traffic.

Amir Chaney (24′) 5’9 Point Guard (Springfield High School, LA)

Sharp shooting point guard who gets it done with the ball in his hands. Shoots the ball well from deep and has a good handle. Chaney set his teammates up with good looks and easy finishes. Creates off the dribble well and has excellent court vision.
