HoopFests Tour had the chance to make it way to Shreveport, Louisiana: The inaugural Extravaganza Classic lived up to the hype and produce 5 headline games. Each game featured standout players and 1st class programs, with countless amount of media and college coaches these players put on a show.

Simsboro 50 – St. Pauls 64

Nick Maryland (’22) 6-3 G – Simsboro – 17 Pts 8 Rebs 5 Assist

Nick Maryland showed off a very impressive mid-range game and did a very good job of attacking the rim and getting to the free-throw line.  Maryland did a very good job of playing through contact and finishing plays at the rim.  Maryland did a great job of distributing the ball and getting his teammates involved.  He showed impressive court vison and did a great job of defending on and off the ball and did a great job of getting into the passing lanes.  Maryland is a very disruptive defender.  Maryland is versatile guard that can effectively handle the responsibilities of playing both guard positions and rebounds the ball very well from the guard position.

Zach Fenn (’22) 6-3 G – St. Pauls – 24 Pts 10 Rebs 3 Blks 7 Assists

Zach Fenn shot the ball well from the outside and did a great job of getting to the rim.  Fenn did great job of showing off his defensive versatility by effectively defending positions 1-3.  Zach Fenn showcased his sneaky athletic ability by blocking a number of shots and and finishing a number of plays at the rim with authority.  Fenn has a next level basketball I.Q and has amazing instincts.  He did a great job of getting to his spots on the floor and knowing when to facilitate/distribute and go into attack mode on offense.  Fenn displayed excellent ball handles and did a great job rebounding the ball.  Fenn is a player that is not afraid of contact and plays the game with a high level of toughness.

Ouachita 41 – Woodlawn (Shreveport) 38

Donavan Seamster (’22) 6-3 G – Woodlawn (Shreveport) – 17 Pts 6 Rebs 5 Assists

Donavan Seamster did a great job of defending both guard positions and playing on and off the ball.  Seamster shot the ball very well from behind the 3-point line and did a great job of getting down hill and moved well without the ball.  Seamster has good size that allowed him to finish through contact.  He displayed good speed and body control, especially in the open court and showed excellent athleticism.  Seamster showed great shiftiness and the ability to change speeds on his way to the basket.  Seamster’s excellent defensive instincts allowed him to effectively get get into the passing lanes.  Donavan Seamster is a excellent playmaker that has a high basketball I.Q and made smart decisions when he was on the floor.

Brandon Henderson (’25) 6-2 G – Woodlawn (Shreveport) – 13 Pts 5 Rebs 4 Assists

Brandon Henderson did a excellent job of scoring the ball and displayed excellent ball handling ability.  Henderson also did a great job of distributing the ball.  Henderson was effective at getting to his spots to get his shot off and did an amazing job of creating for himself off the dribble as well as coming off screens.  Henderson is a smart player that did a great job of taking care of the basketball and made very few mistakes and finished well around the rim.  Brandon Henderson shot the ball very well from the outside and was did well at attacking the defense and initiating contact to get to the free-throw line.

Jeremiah Puckett (’24) 6-1 G – Ouachita – 12 Pts 6 Assists 3 Steals

Puckett displayed a great first step and did a excellent job of pressuring the ball handler on defense.  Excellent ball handler and did a great job of creating space on his jump shot and scored the ball very well off the dribble.  Puckett Displayed excellent body control that allowed him to draw fouls.  A very instinctive player that did a great job of moving without the ball.  Puckett did a solid job of defending on the perimeter, especially defending off the ball and did a great job of playing the passing lanes.  Puckett did a great job of distributing the ball and getting others involved.  A excellent shot creator with a speedy first step and did a great job of changing directions

Labree Williams (’22) – 6-7 F – Calvary Baptist – 24 Pts 14 Rebs 4 Blks

Labree Williams displayed great versatility on both ends showcasing his ability to step out and shoot the ball from long range as well as finish in transition and on the block on offense and defend positions  on defense.  Williams did a great job of defending on the perimeter and down low on the block.  Williams has a great feel for the game and did a great job of making the simple play off of the catch and in pick and roll situations.  Displayed his excellent ability to rebound the ball and disruptive shot blocking ability.  Williams is a tough, competitive player with a high motor on both ends of the court.  Possesses solid ball handles, strength, and explosiveness

Rayvon Smith (’22) – 6-2 G – Scotlandville – 22 Pts 8 Assists 3 Steals

Smith is a excellent distributor that did a great job of commanding the offense.  A nice ball handler that was effective at changing directions to get where he wanted on the court.  Shot the ball well off the dribble and was able to effectively penetrate into the lane to finish at the rim.  Excellent passer that displayed good court vision and decision making.  Dynamic on ball defender that did a good job of playing the passing lanes.  A very smart player, hard nosed player that finished well through contact and displayed excellent fundamentals and a great first step.

Zachary  68 – Wossman 56

Jalen Bolden (’22) 6-5 G/F – Zachary – 25 Points 15 Rebs 5 Blks 5 Assists

Jalen Bolden possesses a high motor that allowed him to score the ball a number of different ways.  Bolden was effective shooting the ball from the 3 point line, finished well in transition, and did a great job of distributing the ball.  A superior athlete with excellent shot block ability and quickness.  Displayed excellent defensive versatility and hustle on both ends of the floor.  Did a great job of crashing the glass and moving without the ball.  A excellent playmaker with great court vison and awareness on both ends.

Kamron Coleman (’23) 6-8 F – Wossman – 14 Pts 6 Blks 11 Rebs

Coleman did a good job of playing in the pick and roll and displayed great pick and pop ability.  Shot the ball very well from mid-range and did a good job of attacking off the dribble.  Showed nice footwork and soft touch around the rim.  Nice ball handles and finishing ability at the rim. Defended multiple positions and played with a high level of smoothness and instincts and possesses a great feel for the game.  Unselfish player who distributed the ball with great accuracy and displayed excellent patience on both ends.  Coleman is a very disciplined player that committed few to no turnovers.  Displayed  Dynamic rebounding and Shot blocking ability.

Joseph Manning (’22) 6-4 G – Bossier – 21 Points 8 Rebs 7 Assists

Joseph Manning displayed his excellent athletic athleticism and played with a high level of unselfishness and did a great job of playing on and off the ball.  Shot the ball extremely well from behind the 3 point line and showcased his elite mid range scoring ability.  Rebounded the ball very well from the guard position and was able to get into the lane to finish a number of plays at the rim.  Versatile defender that can defend both guard positions.  Manning did a good job of creating his own shot did a good job of initiating contact to get to the free throw line.  Displayed great defensive fundamentals and played hard the entire game.  Manning is a excellent play maker with.

Marquis Harris (’22) 6-6 F – Bossier – 12 Points 15 Rebs 4 Blks

Marquis Harris was very active on both ends blocking a number of shots and rebounding the ball at a high level.  Harris did a Excellent  job of running the floor that allowed him finished well at the rim and in transition.  Excellent footwork on the block and passed the ball very well from the post.  Did a great job of stepping out to knock down the mid-range shot.  Harris is a aware off-ball defender that did a great job of playing the passing lanes and made a number of hustle plays on both ends.  Harris possesses a quick first step and has a solid face-up game that allows him to attack aggressively off the dribble.

Dorian Finister (’22) 6-5 G – Carver – 25 Points 9 Assists

Dorian Finister’s  dynamic ball handles, distributing skills, and decision making was on full display.  Finister did a great job of finding his teammates and taking what the defense gave him.  Did a good job of attacking the rim to finish plays and shot the ball very well from outside.  Finister’s excellent court vision and awareness allowed him to find the open man and displayed a great first step and used his length and quickness to be disruptive on defense.  Finister did a great job of shooting the ball off the dribble and from behind the 3 point line.  Finister was amazing at controlling the tempo, never allowing the defense to speed him up.
