Statement Session was arguably the top basketball invite only event Louisiana has ever had. 30 of the top players from various parts of Louisiana was in attendance. This article we are featuring stand out point guards, class of 2021 and 2022.
2021 Tawasky Johnson 6’0 (Port Allen High School): The surprise point guard of the camp was definitely this kid. He was very impressive, a tough, strong, athletic point guard with great ball handling skills. He put pressure on the defense and was very aggressive both ends of the floor. He shot the ball well and got his teammates involved.
2021 Gage Larvadain 5’10 (Riverside Academy): Don’t let the size fool you, the 5’10 lightning quick point guard can score from everywhere. Not only does he score when needed, he gets into the lane and finishes in traffic. Throughout the summer, he help lead his AAU squad (WAWG Elite) to several big wins over top programs.
2022 Rayshun McCullar 6’1 (Huntington High School): This kid makes a statement wherever he plays, the skinny silky smooth point guard demands attention. He shoot the ball very well from deep and plays aggressive on the offensive end.
2021 Daniel Ortiz 6’0 (Calvary Baptist): The North Alabama commit is a good one. Not only did he score willingly, he left the event as Mr. Assists. Known as a scorer, he did a great job making sure his teammates was in position to score easy baskets.
2021 Kedrick Delahoussaye 5’11 (Lafayette High School): This kid is definitely a hidden gem in cajun town, the 5’11 floor general left the event as Defensive MVP. The tough point guard picked up end to end making it hard for opponents to set up. He shot the ball very well and finished well in traffic.
2022 Alexaye Johnson 6’2 (Helen Cox High School): The 6’2 floor general do what he does best, get his teammates involved. Every game he made sure his teammates got involved and set them up for easy finishes at the rim.
