2020 Festsgiving Team List has officially been released, this year field of teams are loaded. Here’s a preview of teams and featured players.
Official team list: Beau Chene, Bonnabel, Cecilia, Crescent City, East Ascension, East Jeff, East St John, Helen Cox, Holy Cross, Jehovah-Jireh, Jesuit, LB Landry, Liberty, McMain, Northside, North Central, Opelousas, Shaw, Slidell, Southern Lab, St. Paul’s, St. Augustine and Zachary.
2022 Devondrake Arvie 6’1 (Beau Chene): Arvie is a tough, aggressive guard who loves to use his athleticism and take advantage of making mid range shots.
2021 Will Allen 6’8 (Bonnabel): Allen the Louisiana Tech commit has made a tremendous jump over the summer, he has improved his body and strength. The returning All-State player is looking to make a push for Gatorade Player of the Year.
2021 Avontez Ledet 6’3 (Cecilia): Ledet the Lamar U commit has continued to improve and looking to have a breakout senior campaign. Last year, he lead his team to a quarterfinal appearance.
2022 Jeffrey Landry 6’7 (East Jeff): Landry a strong big guy inside is looking to make a statement this year. Over the summer he improved and worked nonstop, look for this kid to recruitment to take off.
2022 Alexaye Johnson 6’2 (Helen Cox): Johnson is ready to have a breakout season and put Louisiana on notice. The strong and athletic point guard has picked up several offers over the summer and looking to lead his team to a playoff push.
2022 John-Paul Ricks 6’0 (Jehovah-Jireh): Ricks is back once again and looking to lead his team to another state championship. The sharp shooting point guard had good play over the summer, college coaches should add him to your radars.
2021 Bennie Amos 6’1 (LB Landry): Amos proved he can play with the best of them over the summer. Not only has he grew and got stronger, he improved his overall game. His shooting, finishing and defensive effort has not been unnoticed.
2022 Jacob Wilson 6’4 (Liberty): Wilson the smooth, long and athletic guard average 20 ppg last year as a Sophomore. This year he is ready to lead his much improved team on a playoff run.
2021 Taj Gilyot 6’4 (McMain): Gilyot can do many things, the long point guard has improved constantly over his high school career. After a good summer with his travel squad, he proved he can lead his team to big victories.
2021 Derrick Tezeno 6’5 (North Central): Tezeno has made a push to be Louisiana top player throughout the summer. The two time state championship is looking for a three peat. It’s not a surprise the last few months his recruitment has jumped.
2021 Jonquarius McGhee 6’2 (Opelousas): McGhee the Nicholls State commit has had a breakout summer. This kid is a gamer, not only does he scores several different ways but his defensive effort is outstanding.
2022 Zachary Fenn 6’2 (St. Paul’s): Fenn is a perfect team player who is looking to lead this year. This kid is a pure shooter from 3 point range, arguably one of the state’s best from behind the arc.
2021 Nasir DeGruy 6’2 (St. Augustine): DeGruy was hidden on a stacked St. Augustine team who reached the State Championship game last season. The Long sharp shooter is expected to help lead his team this season.
2022 Jalen Bolden 6’4 (Zachary): Bolden has a unique game, he does it all. He had an outstanding summer with his travel team. His shooting, ball handling, rebounding and play making has improved.
