2020 Big 10 Classic Schedule has officially been released, this year matchups are very good. Here’s a preview of teams and matchups.
Official team list: Bonnabel, Hahnville, Jehovah-Jireh, Madison Prep, New Iberia, Opelousas, Rayville, Scotlandville, Southern Lab and St. Augustine.
FEATURED MATCHUPS:
Southern Lab vs Bonnabel: This game will feature two of the top Big men in Louisiana; The Vet vs the Young guy. 2021 Louisiana Tech signee 6’8 Will Allen (Bonn) vs #1 2023 6’7 Tyler Ringgold (SL). This matchup will let the young stud know where he stands and what he needs to improve on. Both teams has good rosters, this will be a good opening battle at the Big 10.
Jehovah-Jireh vs New Iberia: This game will feature 1st class and well organized programs. Jehovah-Jireh will look to get the ball up the court very fast, New Iberia will run a lot of half court sets. 2021 6’4 F Brandon Harden (JJ) can score all 3 levels and guard multiple positions, average 18.7 ppg and 12 reb last season. 2021 6’2 Jaterrius Fusiliers (NISH) is a strong, tough, athletic guard who can shoot the ball well.
Opelousas vs Hahnville: This game will feature two division 1 guards and loads of other talented players. Opelousas will feature Nicholls State commit 2021 Jonquarius McGhee (OP), a tough athletic guard who scores several different ways. Hahnville will feature Charleston Southern signee Claudell Harris Jr, a long athletic and sharp shooter guard.
Madison Prep vs Rayville: This game will feature two elite programs, every year these teams look to compete for a state championship. 2022 #1 prospect 6’9 Percy Daniels (MP) and 2021 6’2 guard Deziel Perkins (MP) look to carry the load this season. 2021 6’1 guard Zyquarius Cowart (RV) and 2021 6’3 guard Kashi Natt (RV) the 2 seniors will lead Rayville this year.
Scotlandville vs St. Augustine: This game will feature two prominent Louisiana programs, normally they meet in the state championship game, this year it will be at the Big 10. 2021 6’2 guard Emareyon McDonald (Scot) is ready to lead the young hornets. 2021 6’2 Nasir DeGruy (SA) is looking to make a splash and lead St. Augustine on a deep playoff run.
