This past weekend, HoopFests Tour had the special opportunity to host our annual Frosh/Soph Academy in Lafayette, Louisiana. Between the talent, competition and organization it was a great event. The amount of talent in Louisiana/Mississippi is continuing to rise, this event has gotten the attention of several top prospects. Here’s a few standouts that caught the attention of our evaluators.

2026 F 6’5 Landon Hall (Pass Christian High School, MS) is a long versatile forward with unlimited potential. Hall has all the tools, active, guards 1-5, rebounds well, finishes in traffic, great soft hands around the basket, good handles to get to the rim.

2026 SG 6’1 Tahj Mosely (HL Bourgeois High School, LA) is a high flying wing. Mosely plays extremely hard, dunks over defenders, good handles to create space, shoots the midrange well.

2027 PG 5’10 Ian Edmond (Zachary High School, LA) is a high IQ floor general. Edmond is lightning quick, controls the tempo of the game, scores off the dribble, stays in attack mode, sharp shooter from behind the arc and string handles.

2026 G 6’0 Cole Doucet (Starks High School, LA) is a fierce competitor. Doucet scores at will and guards whoever/whenever, nice handles, no defender could stay in front of him and displayed his 3 ball.

2027 PG 5’9 Allen Shaw Jr (Shaw High School, LA) is a lightning quick point guard. Shaw court vision is impressive, talks on both ends, crafty handles, awesome high release 3 ball and can pass the ball well/several no looks/easy baskets for his teammates.

2026 PG 6’2 Tyrie Spencer (Northshore High School, LA) let’s the game comes to him. Spencer is a smooth shooter, high percentage from behind the arc, great size for a wing.

2026 G 6’2 Kadar Mitchell (HL Bourgeois High School, LA) is a skilled force. Mitchell is the toughest player on the floor, physical, good size, finishes everything in the paint, demands the ball and has a stroke from 3.

2026 PG 5’9 Cooper Nelson (Sterlington High School, LA) is a shifty/crafty point guard. Nelson is unstoppable in the open court, doesn’t turn the ball over, makes great decisions, talks on both ends, great pace to shake defenders, streaky shooter/with great form.

2026 SG 6’2 Roderick Tezeno (Opelousas Catholic High School, LA) is an intriguing prospect. Tezeno is a high flying wing, nonstop motor, hit some tough shots with defenders in his face, slashes above the rim/finishes in traffic and streaky deep ball from behind the arc.
