This past weekend, HoopFests Tour had the special opportunity to host our annual Festsgiving Classic in New Orleans, Louisiana. Between the talent, competition and organization it was a great event. Here’s a few standouts that caught the attention of many and received offers from this first class event.
Chris McDermott (’24) 6’7 Small Forward (Booker T Washington-Houston, Tx) Long Athletic rim protector who can score and defend. McDermott runs the floor extremely well, plays above the rim, high motor. Finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Odis Carter (’24) 5’11 Point Guard (Booker T Washington-Houston, Tx) Lead all scores for the day with an impressive 34 points. Carter runs the floor like a jet on offense and defense. Consistent getting in the paint/to the basket, nice stroke from the 3, shifty ball handler who is hard to guard.
Xavier Ferguson (’25) 6’2 Shooting Guard (Zachary High School, La) Strong Athletic combo guard that finished with smooth 27 points. Ferguson very impressive motor, D1 athleticism/high flyer, scorer who can shoot it midrange/behind the arc.
Autrail Manning (’26) 6’0 Point Guard (John Curtis School, La) has a lightning quick first step, consistent scorer, gets to the at the basket with ease, good midrange/3-ball, good on ball defender Defends all over the floor.
Cy Merrett (’25) 6’5 Shooting Guard (St. Augustine High-New Orleans, La) is an outstanding athlete. Merritt is Long with DI athleticism, has size/strength, score at the basket/plays above the rim, high motor/high upside, not scared to attack defenders and can shoot the 3.
CJ Charlot (’26) 6’0 Point Guard (Beau Chene High School, La) is extremely skilled scoring point guard. Charlot is a tough ball handler, quick getting to the basket, smooth/good 3 point shooter, gives guards a problem on the perimeter. Finished at Festsgiving with a game high 23 points.
Cam’ron Jones (’25) 6’5 Small Forward (Crescent City School, La) is a nice size wing. Jones is a true slasher, can score in the paint, make open shots, does all the dirty work, rebounds well, athletic, runs the floor well and guards multiple positions.
CJ Shiftlett (’25) 5’11 Point Guard (Evangel Christian Academy-Shreveport, La) is a jet quick point guard. Shiftlett is skilled ball handler, controls the pace of the game, gets his teammates easy buckets, scores when needed, good jumper and a hard nose defensive pest.
Jeremiah Lucas (’25) 6’3 Combo Guard (Bonnabel High School-Kenner, La) does it is. Lucas is relentless on both ends of the floor, can score consistently from all three levels, nice shooting touch, division I motor and athleticism. Finished with a day high of 32 points.
Howard Gaskins (’24) 6’2 Point Guard (Liberty Magnet-Baton Rouge, La) is a shifty scorer that can get buckets consistently. Gaskins has a nice touch from the 3, defends all over the floor, solid good size guard with vision and plays hard.
Jaylen Peters (’24) 6’6 Forward (Liberty Magnet-Baton Rouge, La) is an extremely athletic slasher. Peters runs the floor, plays above the rim, can guard all 5 positions, long armed defender that protects the rim and rebounds all day.
Mike Parlow (’25) 6’4 Combo Guard (Slidell High School, La) is an athletic long combo guard. Parlow who can score in bunches, has very nice handles on the ball, shoot the 3 well/sweet stroke from behind the arc and has the perfect size for the next next level.
Demond Davis (’24) 6’6 Power Forward (Patterson High School, La) is a strong big body scorer. Davis a smart player who sees the floor, knows how to make plays, rebound well, controls the lane/bully. Finished the day with 22 points and 9 rebounds.
Beejay Brooks (’24) 6’4 Shooting Guard (Zachary High School, La) has a special touch from behind the arc. Brooks is long/athletic, defends anywhere on the floor, consistency on the boards on both ends. Finished with 26 points (4 3’s) and 4 steals.
Ashai Goffner (’25) 6’4 Forward (McDonogh 35 High School, La) strong force of a player who can score. Goffner does all of the dirty work, take charges, dives on the floor, rebounds consistently, runs the floor and plays very hard. Finished with 18 points and 8 rebounds.
Lionel Larvadain (’24) 5’11 Point Guard (McMain High School, La) very impressive athleticism and V12 motor. Larvadain controls the tempo of the game on both ends of the floor, score at will, first class skilled ball handler, strong body, nice shooting touch, high level vision and passing ability. Finished with 25 points.
Oren Bowens (’24) 6’4 Combo Guard (McMain High School, La) is the perfect glue guy. Bowens has the perfect size for the next level, long Athletic player who can defend on the perimeter/paint, flexible scorer that can shoot and get to the rim. Finished with 20 points
TJ Jamison (’27) 6’2 Point Guard (Calvary Baptist School-Shreveport, La) extremely talented young scoring guard. Jamison has a quick first step, can get to the basket/finish over bigger defenders, effortless 3 point shot with strong elevation.
Jordan Moore (’24) Shooing Guard (Hahnville High School, La) blessed athlete with nice strength. Moore very bouncy type of game, flexible scorer, defends all over the floor, rebounds and can block shots. Finished with 18 points.
Aumad Hacket (’24) 6’0 Point Guard (Bonnabel High School-Kenner, La) is a knock down 3 point shooter. Hacket is quick, strong with the ball in his hands, knows the game, can score consistently at the basket, defends baseline to baseline.
