Holiday HoopFest is headed to North Louisiana on Saturday December 23rd. This event showcases many of Louisiana top programs and provides an opportunity for exposure and competition. For basketball fans, media outlets and college coaches, it provides a look at great individual talent and experience to play at a high level. All roads lead to Wossman High School, see you there! Please Note: all tickets will be sold at the venue, no cash will be accepted.
12:00pm West Monroe vs Evangel will feature two very good programs from North Louisiana. We’re excited to be watching these teams battle against each other. West Monroe has outstanding guard play that will attack non stop by lead guard 2024 6’0 guard Shunderrius Glass. Evangel is a high scoring team that is lead by one of Louisiana top pg’s 2025 5’11 point guard CJ Shiftlett and 2024 5’9 point guard Braylen Clark who is a four year starter averaging 21 ppg and 6 assists.
1:30pm Neville vs Hamilton Christian will feature respected programs from different areas of Louisiana. Neville will look to play fast and pick up full court with a lot of ball pressure, Hamilton Christian has great size and will look to pound the ball inside. Neville is lead by 2025 6’0 guard Travone Varner who can shoot it from anywhere inside of half-court and 2026 5’10 guard Jontae Turpin Jr who is a left hander that creates his own shots and get teammates easy baskets. Hamilton Christian has a force inside lead by 2026 6’10 Center DeRay Vital who controls the paint on both ends of the floor.
3:00pm Richwood vs Rayville will feature two well known programs from North Louisiana who has won several state championships. Richwood has a lot of size and length, Rayville has a variety of guards and will be aggressive both ends of the floor. Richwood is lead by 2026 6’5 guard LaVell Lane who uses his length well, lock down defender, shoots the 3 well and has a nice pull up jumper; also has 2025 6’9 center Karder Mason who controls the lane, block shots and finish well around the basket. Rayville will feature top rated 2025 6’3 guard Lantavious Murphy who is a high flying scorer wing.
4:30pm Ouachita vs Carver will feature two popular programs. Ouachita has the awesome size and will play hard nose basketball, Carver is coming off back to back state championships is excited to come excite the fans in North Louisiana. Ouachita is lead by lighting quick, knock down shooter 2024 5’9 point guard Jeremiah Puckett who’s averaging 16 ppg and 2024 6’5 forward Devin Sanders who rebounds well and control the lane blocking shots. Carver will feature a very good dual in 2024 6’1 point guard Laurence Nathan who’s averaging 25 ppg and 2025 6’9 Center Daijon Leatherman who’s averaging a double double.
6:00pm Carroll vs Ruston will feature two North Louisiana top notch programs. Carroll is an exciting programs coming off a state championship run with exciting guard play, Ruston has a first class program who will just be returning football players ready to battle, they are lead by 2024 5’11 point guard Lontravious Dimmer who can shoot the 3 well, get to the rim with ease; he’s averaging 20 ppg . Carroll has a does it all player in 2024 6’3 Lavion Owens; he scores, he rebounds, he block shots and he guards.
7:30pm Wossman vs Catholic will feature two prominent basketball powerhouses. Wossman returns several starters from a semi-final run who’s ready to showcase this loaded squad in-front of the state, Catholic last year State Champion is loaded with marquee players returning. Both teams features an outstanding back-courts. Wossman has three top rated players in, 2025 6’1 point guard Tron Mason, 2024 6’3 Guard Krystian Lewis and 2024 6’7 Jordan Comanche. Catholic has two of Louisiana top 2025 rated players also in 2025 6’3 guard Tate McCurry and 2025 6’2 point guard Nico Jones.
