This past weekend, HoopFests Tour had the special opportunity to host our annual Statement Session for Louisiana best 48 players in Youngsville , Louisiana. Between the talent, competition and organization it was a great event. Here’s a few standouts that caught the attention of many and received offers from this first class event.
2026 PF 6’8 Tyshawn Duncan (Alexandria High School, La) has emerged as one of the top rising unknowns of 26’ class. Duncan has a high motor, strong, bouncy, well built, very active on the glass, plays above the rim, never stops talking on the court and a dawg rebounder.
2026 SF 6’8 Christopher Birden (South Kent School, Ct) is a skilled wingman. Birden has the perfect size, great length, handles the ball, confident shooter, all the tools to be high level player and super bouncy. Please note: Statement Session Dunk Contest Winner
2025 WF 6’7 Kerel Dean (Bossier High School, La) does it all on both ends. Dean is a slasher with size, very versatile forward, skilled, shoots it from mid/behind the arc, brings it up well against guards, blows by bigs, defends at a high level and athletic.
2026 PG 5’10 Dwight Magee (Crescent City Christian School, La) is the definition of a true point guard. Magee is assertive, strong with ball, handles on a string, deep perimeter shot, gets teammates easy buckets and can create his own shot.
2026 PF 6’8 Monte Farmer (Washington Marion High School, La) is a big time shot blocker. Farmer is an elite rim protector, extremely high upside, rebounds at a high level and runs the floor well.
2027 PG 6’2 Tyrone Jamison (Calvary Baptist School, La) is the nations #1 2027 point guard. Jamison displayed all of his tools, unlimited range, leadership, scores anytime he wants, creates for others. Please note: Statement Session MVP/Scoring Champ
2025 F 6’7 Kobe Butler (Shaw High School, La) is risen to the top of Louisiana 2025 prospects. Butler is a stellar student with an impressive 31 ACT, has the perfect size, shoots the mid range well, athletically gifted, great length (6’11 wing span), rebounds well.
2025 PG 5’9 Jalen Brown (Avoyelles Charter School, La) is a polished high IG point guard. Brown is a pest on the defensive end, does everything right with the ball in his hands, scores in bunches, set up easy finishes for bigs and creative in the open floor.
2026 PF 6’8 Drew Cooper (Franklin Parish High School, La) is lights out from behind the arc. Cooper is a stretch 4 that can shoot it from anywhere, deep range, smooth high release, rangy big forward with college ready size.
