Commitment news out of the Magnolia State:

Big news broke Wednesday, December 8th as 6’7″ Junior Forward Devin Ree from Terry H.S., ESPN’S # 45 ranked player in the class of 2022 nationally and the number 1 ranked player in the state in the Mississippi Hoop Report Class of 2022 rankings, committed to LSU and head coach Will Wade.

“LSU has been there from the start and really stayed in touch and been supportive all the way thru the process, and Coach Wade, himself, has been heavily involved. We just really like the feel we get from the coaches and the players in the program.” said Tyrone Ree, Devin’s father..

Ree chose the Tigers over interest from Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Auburn, Alabama, Memphis and Western Kentucky.

Other Commitment News:

On Friday, December 11th Jay Barnes the high scoring 5’10” senior lead guard from Oak Grove H.S. committed to Mississippi Valley State and Head Coach Lindsey Hunter. Barnes, the number 11 ranked player in the state in the Mississippi Hoop Report Class of 2021 rankings, also had an early offer from Division II Southern Arkansas.
