This past weekend, HoopFests Tour had the special opportunity to host our annual Junior/Senior Academy for players representing Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Between the talent, competition and organization it was a great event. Here’s a few standouts that caught the attention of our scouting and media team.
2025 F 6’7 Kobe Butler (Shaw High School, La) was the overall best prospect at Jr/Sr Academy. Butler confidence is increasing, constantly improving, has the perfect size, shoots the mid range well, athletically gifted, great length 6’11 wing span. Stellar student with an 31 ACT
2025 SG 6’3 Jeremiah Lucas (Bonnabel High School, La) is an athletic wing. Lucas can get to his spots, knock down the 3, play above the rim, makes plays on both ends, highlight dunks mid-game, nice slasher with high level athleticism.
2025 F 6’7 Markell Sampson (Central High School, La) is a great rim protector. Sampson has very good upside, excellent rebounder, agile big, runs the floor well, challenges everything at the rim, very lengthy and still growing.
2026 PG 5’10 Cooper Nelson (Sterlington High School, La) is a legit point guard. Nelson makes all the right plays, lightning speed, can create, score off the dribble, gets in the lane with ease, takes the ball from opposing players, finish over bigger defenders in the lane!
2025 CG 6’2 Tobin Triplett (Legacy The School, Tx) is a scoring combo guard. Triplett is an offensive playmaker, super fast, sneaky athletic, shoots the 3 consistent, quick release/great form, finish through contact, creates on his own!
2026 PG 6’0 Jordan Stabile (Acadiana Renaissance High School, La) is a playmaker. Stabile plays hard on both ends of the floor, plays at a fast pace, makes open shots, gets teammates involved/easy buckets, made several high level plays and a pest on defense.
2025 CB 6’3 Sean Brown (St. Michael High School, La) is a big guard. Brown is a gifted built big guard who has all the tools to be good, great frame, athletic, plays with a good pace, shoots the ball well, has good handles, scores in bunches when hot.
2025 F 6’5 John Stokes (Barbe High School, La) is a perfect glue guy. Stokes instantly catches your attention by simply playing hard on both ends of the floor, nonstop motor, plays above the rim and denies baskets at the rim.
2026 SG 6’3 Rondell Battle (Phoenix High School, La) is a scoring machine. Battle can score the ball from anywhere on the floor, great size/strong, can bully you inside/out, get to the lane with ease, finish through contact and defends at a high level.
2026 F 6’5 Evan Burns (Lake Charles College Prep, La) is a super athletic forward. Burns has a high motor, dunks it over defenders, rebounds at a high level, can guard the 1-5, very good in transition and runs the floor well.
