Louisiana Biggest Showcase is back, the 3rd annual Extravaganza Classic is headed to North Louisiana on Saturday, January 20. This event showcases many of Louisiana top programs and provides an opportunity for exposure and competition. For basketball fans, media outlets and college coaches, it provides a look at great individual talent and experience to play at a high level. All roads lead to Calvary Baptist Academy see you there! Please Note: all tickets will be sold at the venue, no cash will be accepted.

 

12:00pm Evangel vs Ouachita will feature two very good programs. Evangel is a high scoring team that is lead by one of Louisiana top pg’s 2025 5’11 point guard CJ Shiftlett and 2024 5’9 point guard Braylen Clark who is a four year starter averaging 21 ppg and 6 assists. Ouachita is lead by lighting quick, knock down shooter 2024 5’9 point guard Jeremiah Puckett who’s averaging 16 ppg and 2024 6’5 forward Devin Sanders who rebounds well and control the lane blocking shots.

 

1:30pm Huntington vs Rayville will feature two well coached programs. Huntington is led by legendary Coach Mac Jones who has over 700 wins, watch out for 2025 G 6’3 Tyler Welch who is a knock down shooter, 3/D player and 2027 PG 6’0 Peyton Parker who scores with ease/controls the tempo of the game. Rayville back court is loaded with two legit 6’4 wings in 2024 Kaleb Jackson and 2025 Lantavious Murphy, both are next level players.

 

3:00pm Captain Shreve vs Franklin Parish will feature two respected programs. Captain-Shreve is one of the best teams in D1 select and led by 2024 SF 6’5 Jyrin Sowell who is an athletic slasher, volume rebounder, defend 1-5, tough, physical player with a ton of upside. Franklin Parish is loaded with a lot of size and led by 2025 prospect 6’8 Drew Cooper who controls the front court.

 

4:30pm Southwood vs Peabody will feature two heavy hitter programs. Southwood has been making a splash the last few years and led by 2024 PF 6’10 Jeremiah Evans who is one of the best prospects in Louisiana. Peabody the 8 time state champions is led 2025 SG 6’3 Isaiah Jones and 2024 F 6’6 Jordan Matthews who is a hard working prospect, prolific rebounder, good ball skills and finish well around the rim.

 

6:00pm Bossier vs St. Augustine will feature two powerhouse programs. Bossier is led by 2025 forward 6’7 Kerel Dean who is a do is all type of player, plays above the rim, high level rebounder and 2024 guard 6’1 Javon Johnson who averages 18 ppg, attacks on both ends of the floor, explodes to the rim and awesome rebounding guard. St. Augustine is led by 2024 SG 6’3 Turner Duncan who is signed to D1 Air Force and 2025 G 6’5 Cy Merret who is one of Louisiana top hidden gems.

 

7:30pm Calvary Baptist vs Wossman will feature two headliner programs. Calvary Baptist is led by 2024 PG 6’0 Rondae Hill who is committed to Henderson State and 2027 PG 6’2 Tyrone Jamison who is one of the top players in the Country. Wossman returns several starters from a semi-final run who’s ready to showcase this loaded squad in-front of the state, Catholic last year State Champion is loaded with marquee players returning. Both teams features an outstanding back-courts. Wossman has three top rated players in, 2025 6’1 point guard Tron Mason, 2024 6’3 Guard Krystian Lewis and 2024 6’7 Jordan Comanche.
